Dr. Hupp earned his Ph.D. from the University of North Texas in Health Psychology & Behavioral Medicine.
He has served as a disability consultative examiner for the Social Security Administration, Veteran's Administration, and several state agencies.
Dr. Hupp has taught at the graduate and undergraduate level, written a book chapter on child brain injury, co-normed an IQ test for blind/visually impaired persons, and presented at state and national level conferences.
Dr. Hupp started his practice in neuropsychology with a focus on traumatic brain injury (TBI) and intellectual / developmental disorders.
He now provides criminal forensic psychological services that include competency to stand trial evaluations, mitigation of sentence evaluations, mental status at time of offense evaluations, and Atkins-style evaluations for capital death and non-death cases.
Dr. Hupp has developed a standardized threat assessment protocol and professional certification course for the evaluation and intervention of potential perpetrators of mass violence.
