Greg Hupp, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist in independent private practice since 2005, with a clinical and forensic specialization in neuropsychology, traumatic brain injury, and complex cognitive and psychiatric conditions that intersect with legal questions. His professional work integrates neuropsychological assessment with forensic opinion formation, with particular emphasis on competency to stand trial, criminal responsibility, mitigation, and other high-stakes matters where neurocognitive impairment, developmental disability, serious mental illness, or trauma exposure may affect functional capacities and legal outcomes.  

Dr. Hupp is licensed in multiple jurisdictions, including  Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, and Washington, and holds PSYPACT authority for interjurisdictional practice and telepsychology. 

 He has more than twenty years of experience in psychological testing and neuropsychological evaluation involving traumatic brain injury, memory impairment, and other neurocognitive disorders, as well as specialized experience evaluating individuals with sensory impairments (including blind and deaf clients) and complex developmental presentations.  

Dr. Hupp earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of North Texas, where his doctoral training emphasized health psychology and behavioral medicine and included research focused on cognitive differences among visually impaired and blind individuals. 

His professional background includes leadership in post-acute brain injury rehabilitation as Director of Neurocognitive & Counseling Services for an 80+ bed CARF-accredited neurorecovery center, where he supervised multidisciplinary clinical programming and outcomes-focused treatment planning for traumatic brain and spinal cord injury populations.  

Dr. Hupp is recognized as a qualified forensic mental health examiner for adult competency, psychological, and sanity evaluations. He also maintains specialized aviation neuropsychology training, including FAA/HIMS qualification.
